The Squash Gave Out

went to the garden today and the squash plants had it from the bugs. The rain from the day before caused the roots to just uproot themselves and they were pale and yellow and rotting. I pulled a bunch of weeds from the neighboring plot as they were starting to creep in ours. It has been such a hot July and so far August.
