Supper on the Dye Shed Porch

I woke up early to get to Penland and see Jojo again for lunch. It was nice to see her and meet her teacher and see the studio. We toured the grounds again and ate lunch. Jojo is going to give a solar plate demo since Flo, her instructor was so impressed by her work. Everyone seems to love her work. We went to the gallery for the instructor’s opening reception. Mike Cepress from UWGB had work in the gallery. My favorite was Dan Essig’s work. We walked to the Bringle Gallery and then had dinner. Jojo and I sat on the dye shed porch and ate together. It was nice. I left about 7 to make it back to my campsite at Linville Gorge, a National campsite, part of Blue Ridge Parkway.
